THE CHALLENGE
The challenge in crafting this spot lay in seamlessly blending CG technology with the vibrant tapestry of Mexican culture, all within the confines of a single bottle. Starting outside, we dive into the bubbling pilsner to unveil a dynamic, paper-crafted world teeming with bright colors and cultural motifs, symbolizing the rich heritage and lively spirit of Mexico. The journey continues as we navigated through this bustling microcosm to reveal the Estrella Jalisco logo, composed of paper confetti, hinting at the beer’s diverse ingredients. The inviting tagline “Look for the Star,” encapsulates the brand’s essence, inviting viewers to discover a world of flavor and tradition within every sip.
THE SOLUTION
Our solution to this challenge was to leverage the robust capabilities of Houdini, which became the cornerstone of our creative and technical workflow. Utilizing Houdini’s advanced particle simulation, we meticulously generated the lively elements that brought the interior world to life, from the effervescent bubbles to the delicate paper textures that formed the vibrant scenes of Mexican culture. The paper aesthetic, crucial to the authenticity of the narrative, was achieved through Houdini’s procedural tools, allowing us to manipulate vectors and create a seamless transition between the dynamic environment within the bottle and the intricate Estrella Jalisco logo made of paper confetti. This approach not only streamlined the production process but also ensured a high level of detail and coherence across the entire CG spot, beautifully marrying the technical sophistication with the creative vision.
